AJAG Professional Development was founded in 2003 with a mission to bring the most relevant and comprehensive professional development courses to CPAs in an interactive format that is convenient and user friendly. Our vision is to be the industry leader in PD courses for CPAs, delivering the highest quality and most relevant continuing education content in Canada.
Our comprehensive range of courses, programs and seminars are delivered online only during these times to ensure we keep our instructors and course participants safe. With an online format for this year, any CPA from across Canada has access to our extensive library of relevant and up-to-date course material. 2023 not only marks our 20th anniversary, but it also marks our return to in-person courses in Ontario.

Executives

Ivan M. Tabac, CPA, CA, CFP itabac@ajag.ca
Originally from Montreal, Ivan graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1987 and obtained his CA designation in January 1990. He articled at the firm of Richter, Usher & Vineberg and spent the next ten years obtaining extensive experience in the areas of taxation, auditing and business advisory services while serving on many internal committees including GST advisory and professional standards.
In 1997, Ivan moved to Toronto to further his career and has continued to practice public accounting ever since. In 1998 he obtained the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) which added to his ability to provide a wide range of services to his clients. He remains in public practice through his firm Ivan Tabac Professional Corporation.
Ivan served as Treasurer of Thornhill Nursery School and Kindergarten from 2003-2006 and has been the Treasurer of the Thornhill Slo-Pitch Softball League since 2010.
Ivan's responsibilities with AJAG include website development and support, finance and administration and business operations.

Jonathan Tucker, CPA, CA jtucker@ajag.ca
Originally from Toronto, Jonathan completed his post secondary studies at York University and obtained his CA designation in 1997. Prior to entering public practice, Jonathan worked in industry for a number of years as a financial controller. In 1993 he left his industry position to article with the firm Norton McMullen & Company LLP. In 1998, Jonathan successfully completed the two-year in-depth tax course offered by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Jonathan volunteers as a director for a number of not-for-profit organizations. He has also volunteered his time in various capacities within the profession. His volunteer efforts have included serving on the Applications Committee of the ICAO, Contact CA, York District CA Association and participation in the CA Tax Clinics. Jonathan has served as a part-time practice inspector with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. Jonathan remains in public practice and is the managing director of Tucker Professional Corporation.

Alison Winton awinton@ajag.ca
Originally from Toronto, Alison graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1996 with a degree in Literature. Prior to working at AJAG, Alison spent 13 years working in the fashion industry as a buyer and since 2011 has been able to merge her love of fashion and accounting by showcasing her shoes at all of the AJAG courses.
Alison has 2 sons and when she isn't in the office or at a course you can find her cheering at a hockey rink or baseball diamond. She is passionate about fitness and veganism and loves her family, friends and her dogs, cats and turtles.
